In this day and age, many people throughout the world suffer with many types of addictions, some more damaging to the body and spirit than others.  Nevertheless, they are all damaging to the soul.  Don’t let anyone ever tell you otherwise.  Sadly, far too many of these tortured individuals don’t even know they have them or, if they do know, want to overcome them. To be certain, a person who has an addiction will always have it.  This is a well-known established medical fact.
However, through various positive and inspired means, that addiction can be managed so that person will be able to live a happy and so-called “normal” life, staying “clean and sober” till the day he or she dies.  In Delivered to the Light: My Sex, Porn, and Drug Addictions, and How I Overcame Them, the author details and describes how over approximately a ten-year period of his middle-aged life these addictions and some others, with which the author suffered, brought him immense pain, suffering, and sorrow, even to the gates of hell and the edge of a tragic death.
However, miraculously, through the grace of a loving and merciful God, and with the help of wonderful and extremely skilled doctors and counselors, and finally through the long-suffering of loved ones and friends, he was saved and delivered to the light of God’s mercy!  The author strongly maintains that this book, in its entirety, is true. There is nothing in it that is fiction except for any person’s name mentioned in it.  It is the prayer of the author that all who are suffering with any type of addiction may find hope that they may be delivered in time from these afflictions. It is possible. It truly is!
