Queen Baby

Inhibited emotional development can result in a King Baby syndrome.  Queen Baby examines the situation from a woman’s perspective.  Females in recovery will understand how these characteristics affect their relationships and their self-esteem and therefore their recovery.

“Queen Baby can be defined as the characteristic and roles that resulted from our unmet needs and a feeling of low self-worth.  At some point in our lives we came to believe that being our true self was not enough to establish and maintain relationships.   As a result, as women we become focused on gaining the approval and validation of others rather than defining  and validating our own sense of self.”
