About the Book
In Anger: Wisdom for Cooling the Flames, world-renowned Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh offers timeless guidance on one of life’s most powerful and destructive emotions. Rooted in Buddhist teachings, he shows how anger, like obsessive desire and wrong perception, is at the root of human suffering — but it can also be transformed into compassion, understanding, and peace.
With clarity and simplicity, Thich Nhat Hanh presents practical tools for recognizing anger in the moment, transforming it with mindfulness, and healing relationships scarred by its effects. He also extends his vision beyond the personal, offering insights on how collective anger between groups, nations, and governments can be addressed through compassion and understanding.
This book is more than a guide to anger management — it is a path to inner peace, reconciliation, and spiritual renewal.
