About the Author
Dr. Mike Courtney is a writer, speaker, and counselor with over 25 years of experience as a pastor. A recovering addict who lives a 12-step life one day at a time, Mike is the founder and director of Branches Counseling Centers, a network of faith-based nonprofit counseling offices across the Southeast. He has appeared on national and international television programs, spoken at conferences across the U.S. and abroad, and taught for the Billy Graham Schools of Evangelism.
Mike holds an M.A. in New Testament Theology and a Ph.D. in Pastoral Counseling. He is a certified Sexual Addiction Counselor with the AACC and a nationally licensed pastoral counselor with the NCCA. Mike and his wife, Doris, live in Middle Tennessee, where he directs Branches, writes, and enjoys being “Poppy C” to his grandchildren.
