About the Author
Thich Nhat Hanh (1926–2022) was a Vietnamese Zen Buddhist monk, peace activist, and one of the most influential spiritual teachers of the modern era. Exiled from Vietnam in 1966 for his peace work, he went on to found the Plum Village Community of Engaged Buddhism in France, now the largest Buddhist monastery in Europe. Over his lifetime, he authored more than 100 books, bringing the practice of mindfulness to millions in the West. Known as “the father of mindfulness,” his teachings continue to inspire people around the globe to live with compassion, peace, and presence.
