About the Authors
Rabbi Kerry M. Olitzky is recognized as one of the fifty leading rabbis in North America by Newsweek. Known for making Jewish wisdom accessible to everyday life, he is the author or coauthor of dozens of books on spirituality, healing, and recovery, including Twelve Jewish Steps to Recovery, Life’s Daily Blessings, Grief in Our Seasons, and 100 Blessings Every Day. He served as executive director of Big Tent Judaism (formerly the Jewish Outreach Institute) and has long been a leader in integrating Jewish tradition with modern spiritual needs.
Aaron Z. is a recovering addict whose contributions bring authenticity and lived experience to the meditations. Active in his synagogue and as chairperson of his local JACS (Jewish Alcoholics, Chemically Dependent Persons and Significant Others) group, he shares personal reflections that speak directly to the challenges and triumphs of recovery.
