About the Author
Porochista Khakpour is the author of the novels Sons and Other Flammable Objects and The Last Illusion, and her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, The Paris Review, and many other outlets. A celebrated Iranian-American writer, she has been awarded fellowships from the NEA, Yaddo, and the Sewanee Writers’ Conference. She has taught at Columbia University, Johns Hopkins University, and other institutions. Sick is her first memoir.
