The Gaslight Effect: How to Spot and Survive the Hidden Manipulation Others Use to Control Your Life
Author: Robin Stern, Ph.D.
Gaslighting is one of the most insidious forms of emotional manipulation—it erodes your confidence, twists your perception of reality, and leaves you doubting your own worth. In this groundbreaking guide, renowned therapist Dr. Robin Stern reveals how the Gaslight Effect works, how to recognize when you’re caught in it, and how to reclaim your power.
Through vivid real-life scenarios—such as a partner who dismisses your concerns as insecurity, or a parent whose constant criticism makes you question yourself—Dr. Stern shows how gaslighters subtly seize control. With compassion and clarity, she equips readers to identify which relationships can be healed and which must be left behind. Most importantly, she offers tools to “gasproof” your life so you never again fall prey to this hidden form of abuse.
