Depression isn’t funny—but sometimes a little humor makes it easier to face. In this interactive zine, therapist Karisa Quick blends wit with wisdom, offering writing prompts, worksheets, and coloring pages that help you reflect on your thoughts, goals, and coping strategies without the pressure of being “serious” all the time.
Designed to be flexible, you can work through the pages in any order—solo, with friends, or even in a therapeutic setting. Even if you’re not experiencing depression, this zine helps you process emotions, build self-awareness, and find healthier ways to cope.
Karisa Quick (They/Them) is a queer and non-binary therapist, author, and the founder of That Gay Therapist. Born and raised in Southern California, they now live in Salem, Oregon with their partner and dog. Karisa is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Education Counselor, passionate about helping people heal from depression, anxiety, and trauma.
Their unique approach often weaves humor into therapeutic tools, creating books and zines that make emotional healing more accessible and less intimidating.
